Thanksgiving is my favourite holiday of the year. It has all the delicious foods of Christmas with none of the shopping, gift-giving, and hectic planning pressures of Christmas. In addition, it has all the beautiful fall colours and temperatures that are very conducive to getting out into nature for a walk with family. My family often enjoys a walk in the woods before our Thanksgiving meal, collecting colourful leaves to decorate the festive table.
