Family Time

February 19 is Family Day in much of Canada -- a holiday that is really worth celebrating, in my opinion, because nothing in life is more important than family. In the spirit of family time, I am sharing some of my favourite recipes this week so that kids of all ages can have fun together this weekend.

As a self-described crafty person, I can't wait to make this DIY play dough and sit down to play with my little grandson. He is not quite old enough for this activity yet, but it's coming soon!

I have very fond memories of playing outside in the snow for hours and then coming inside to a cup of hot chocolate and a plate of goodies prepared by my mom. I hope you enjoy my updated recipes for this nice treat!

At the end of the day, what could be more fun than enjoying a movie together with some yummy popcorn! I have always loved the movies The Princess Bride, The Never Ending Story, and The Gods Must Be Crazy. I'm also very happy to watch almost any animated movie.

What are your favourite family activities?
