I hope you are having a wonderful Easter weekend. This spring-time holiday is a favourite both for its spiritual connections, as well as for its association with a time of re-birth and new growth.
Fun family DIYs are often part of this holiday: making colourful eggs, for example, and creating a fun treasure hunt experience for young and old alike. Whether you are planning a big family get-together or are simply eating eggs for breakfast, I wish you a very joyful day.
This week I have some fun Easter-themed recipes!
Super Simple Sugar Scrub
One thing that I LOVE about my essential oils is how quick and easy it is to create healthy spa products for self-care. Even if you are not the Queen of DIY -- even if you don't even like making stuff from scratch -- recipes like this one are extremely easy and take mere seconds to make.
You can even use whatever essential oils you love, or whatever ones you have on hand, instead of the recipe recommendations. I do suggest that when altering the essential oils, add only one drop of oil at a time so that you don't end up with too much aroma in your recipe.
This particular aroma suggestion is designed to maximize self-confidence (Bergamot), relaxation (Lavender) and happiness (Lemon).

Other options: You can make this exact scrub recipe with sea salt instead of sugar! Or, make it with Epsom Salts instead, and use as a lovely bath soak.
Super Simple Lip Balm
Did you ever think that it is extremely easy to make your own spa products, for a FRACTION of the price you pay in stores? That is one of the benefits of having pure essential oils in your home.
Lip balm is something everyone uses, and yet many of the ones on the market use cheap ingredients or additives that are not healthy. That's another benefit of DIY -- you know EXACTLY what is in each and every recipe that you make.
For this recipe, you can pour into lip balm tubes or into tiny glass jars or plastic pots. A friend of mine saves the little plastic pots from her Chefs Plate orders for things like this, but you can also find suitable containers at the Dollar Store (check the craft section) or from Amazon.
