Out in the Garden

Are you itching to get out into the garden? At this time of year, I love to get out and clear away winter's grit, admire the crocuses and daffodils that are blooming, and assess what work my gardens will need this year. Maybe you love to grow vegetables, but as for me, I am more of an easy-care flower and foliage gardener.

Of course, I use my dōTERRA oils in the garden, too! I use them to keep mosquitoes and other bugs away from me when I'm outdoors, and I also use them when I'm planting new plants, dividing and transplanting, and caring for my more mature plants, too. Check the recipes below for some simple ways to incorporate essential oils into your gardening activities this year.

Keep ants out of the house with this non-toxic spray. Simply spray door and window sills.

Always remember to clean your tools! Tea Tree is the perfect oil for sanitizing everything when you're done.

This is a fabulous, multi-purpose spray. Mist it onto soil when planting, or onto plants to keep away pests.

The sugar in this recipe gently scrubs, while the other ingredients clean, hydrate and rejuvenate the skin.
